Our Purpose
The purpose of the New Brunswick Welsh Heritage Trust is to educate the public as to the contributions of Welsh immigrants to Cardigan, New Brunswick; and to preserve and maintain the Cardigan Welsh Heritage Site, located at Cardigan, New Brunswick. Our objectives are to:
- identify, collect, study, preserve and display artifacts of Welsh history and culture,
- organize activities and promotions to raise public consciousness of such Welsh artifacts and their social significance, and
- seek public and private funds in support of the Trust.
What We Do
The New Brunswick Welsh Heritage Trust is a registered charity responsible for restoring and maintaining the Welsh Chapel and graveyard, an historic site located in Cardigan, New Brunswick. The Trust holds two ecumenical church services each year intended to raise funds for the Trust. All monies held by the Trust are used to maintain the chapel and graveyard.
How to donate
Donations are received at the Founders’ Day Service held in June each year or at the annual Thanksgiving Service.
